Not long ago there was a manager who yelled at an employee at work. The employee handled it well and kept trying her best to make amends. As a matter of fact,
the employee didn't quite understand the wrong that she had done. There didn't appear to be anything that she'd done wrong and the manager wasn't real clear on what was troubling her, but the employee continued to be as polite as possible.
In the meantime the employee ended up no longer working there because she received a much better position elsewhere. She didn't go looking for this position, but it came. Not only did this better position come suddenly, but it was quite rewarding and quite an advancement.
What I find interesting is that another manager at the previous store, who was apologizing for this lady's behavior, made an interesting comment when she found out about the prosperous new position this lady had acquired.
So she made a comment. She said, "Well, you see. These things happen for a reason."
In other words, she was saying that God had brought this problem to this employee, so that He could bring in a more successful job position for this lady.
Wrong!
God doesn't work that way. He doesn't have to make someone get mad, yell, and act completely out of line, so that He can then bring this woman to a better job position. God is good. Do you remember the Scripture in Romans chapter 8? You know the one that is misinterpreted regularly.
Romans 8:28 that says, "We are assured and know that" [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose."
GOD does the good, but the devil brought the wrong.
The manager chose to act the way she did and in anger. God didn't MAKE her get angry, so His will could be carried out. God can speak to us and lead us in His gentle way. He doesn't have to have someone yell at us to cause us to move in a different direction, and that's what this Scripture is all about.
Amen!!
