If you haven't read the blog posted below, read below first called, "A Word from God".
I remember for years that Steve has told me all about Wall, South Dakota, and its history because he had visited there as a youth with his family. He told me about how people come from all over to this area, driving on this interstate in South Dakota, and that there are signs, still today, that advertise free Water at Wall's Drugstore.
Back in the day, in December 1931, when Wall, South Dakota, was sparce of people, trees and much life, there was a young couple who ventured out to make a living when they bought a drugstore in Wall. They committed to live there five years and run this drugstore.
They became distraught, however, when no one would stop and come to their store. They kept hoping for some idea that would change all of that and give people a desire to stop, visit their store and buy something. Years went by and their fifth December was coming soon, what would they do to get these people to stop? It was a hot summer day when Dorothy, the wife, came up with an idea. Story below:
"Well, now what is it that those travelers really want after driving across that hot prairie? They're thirsty. They want water. Ice cold water! Now we've got plenty of ice and water. Why don't we put up signs on the highway telling people to come here for free ice water? Listen, I even made up a few lines for the sign: . . Free Ice Water. . . Wall Drug."
In continuation of the story they wrote, "Well, Ted, " Dorothy said to me, "I guess the ice water signs worked."
They surely did work, and we've never really been lonely for customers since then. The next summer we had to hire eight girls to help us, and now that the store is in the the good hands of my son Bill, Wall Drug draws up to twenty thousand people on a good summer day.

(Walldrug.com)/t-history.aspx) It is an interesting and fascinating story, you won't want to skip!
What does this have to do with anything? Well, when God says He's going to do something great in an area and gives His Word (Is. 59:19) we can bank on it happening! The free water represents the free water of the Holy Spirit! In the Bible the Holy Spirit is sometimes referred to, in symbolism, as water. Jesus even referred to Himself as Living Water.
"On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, 'Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.' By this He meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were later to receive." John 7:37-39.
Awesome! God has a plan and His plan is good! He has free water for the thirsty. Will you come and drink? Pray for the people of the West. Pray for revival! Pray that the Holy Spirit will draw them to Himself and that laborers will come and many will receive Christ! God is always doing something in this area, but He's about to burst forth like a "pent-up" flood!
The last paragraph written on the Wall Drug website: Free Ice Water. It brought us Husteads a long way and it taught me my greatest lesson, and that's that there's absolutely no place on God's earth that's Godforsaken. No matter where you live, you can succeed, because wherever you are, you can reach out to other people with something that they need!
Wow! What a word of encouragement and exhortation!
