Angels, part 1
It is comforting and wonderful to think about the presence of angels all around us. They are working for our benefit. They are to minister to the body of Christ because God has sent them to work, or serve, His children. Angels are real. We humans get so caught up in this natural realm of earth that we forget that there is a spiritual realm that is real and powerful! God exhorts us in His Word to set our minds on things above (Col. 3:2) not on earthly things. Angels are “above”, in Heaven, but they are also working on the earth.

Angels, part 2
I believe the reason God desires for us to set our minds on heaven and heavenly things is because it encourages and exhorts us. It would be easy for us to get bogged down with the weight of the natural realm and all its worries and bad stories. If you watch the news daily, and if you focus on that bad news, then you are going to be tempted to worry and fear.

Effective Prayer
The Word of God teaches us that prayer is very powerful! It says in the NIV that prayer is not only powerful, but it is effective. That word effective means it brings results! There are four key points I want to bring up about prayer in this teaching and each are backed with Scripture.

Faith, part 1
When we were in Bible college, faith was the first topic we studied. I believe it set the tone for the rest of the studies. I had never learned so much about faith in all my life. It has made me so much more appreciative to understand and comprehend faith to a greater degree. I am going to try and share some of what I’ve learned here with you.

Faith, part 2
In order to have faith, you have to hear the Word of God. Without hearing the Word there is no basis for faith, according to Romans 10:17. So faith, real Bible faith, comes from hearing the Word of God. The more you hear the Word, meditate on the Word, speak the Word, the more you can increase your faith. God has given you a measure of faith (Rom. 12:3), so you can’t say that you don’t have any faith. He’s such a good God that He even gave you faith. Even if your faith is as small as a mustard seed, you can move a mountain (Mt. 17:20)! You have no excuse!

Finding the Will of God
A good shepherd leads his sheep into good pastures. A good shepherd stays with his sheep and his sheep become very familiar with his voice. As a matter of fact, sheep become so familiar with the voice of their shepherd that if a stranger speaks to them, they will not follow. They will not heed to the call. They are committed to their shepherd and are bonded with him.

Finding the Will of God, part 2
Sometimes God doesn’t give us all the details. As a matter of fact, most of the time he doesn’t give us many details at all, He just gives us one step at a time. But as long as we’re being obedient to those small steps, then we’ll continue to walk in His light, in His will. We will not wander off on our own way.

Gifts
One morning a couple of months ago the Lord put this verse on my mind. I was praying and this portion of the verse kept coming back over and over again: every good and perfect gift is from above. As a matter of fact, it kept returning to me daily for days until finally I decided to keep meditating on it for what ended up being about two months.

God Does Not Contradict
Have you ever seen a Scripture in the Word that seems to contradict? I know there are several verses, if not many, that seem to contradict, but we know that God is good and loving and that He is not going to contradict Himself. We know we can trust Him. He is a good and loving Father. He is a good God. We can take Him at His Word. So what is it then when we read a verse and it seems to contradict another? What do we do?

God's Blessing in Darkness
I like to proclaim good things in the presence of my enemies (spiritual enemies). I like to make decrees. Decrees of all the good things the Lord is bringing into our lives today and forever. I like to focus on the good and all He’s done and all He’s going to do. He is a good God.

Healing, is it God's Will?
Many Christians, if not most, will say that healing is not always God’s will, but anytime we are trying to determine God’s will we need to look into God’s Word. God’s Word is His will and testament. It is His will to us, His children. God’s Word is His will. God’s Word is true and everlasting. There are no mistakes in His Word.

Holy
Recently while praying and studying the Word the Lord gave me a revelation, a deeper understanding of Christ’s holiness. I stopped and listened to what the Lord had for me. As God gave me this revelation my thoughts went to Christ’s life while on earth with His disciples. Sinless. Completely sinless. I realized that the disciples had the opportunity to be with The Sinless One 24/7 for 3 years.

Increase
In John’s letter to Gaius he tells him that he desires and prays for him to have good health, that ALL may go well with him just as all is going well with his soul. This is increase! When we want to know the will of God we look into His Word for the truth.
