Sometimes it is so easy to keep asking God for things and forget to thank Him. Sometimes we get so caught up in going from one need to the next and then the next, that it's easy to let our gratefulness slip! Yikes!
When Jesus was on earth His disciples constantly witnessed Him healing people, casting out devils, performing mighty miracles and answering tough questions with great wisdom. Jesus always moved under the power of the Holy Spirit.
Recently I had a good friend of ours tell me that she had not prayed in the Spirit in a while, but was thankful she'd picked it back up and it was a blessing! Praying in the Spirit is one of our weapons of our warfare against our enemies!
Sometimes during worship, when we're at church, I can feel the love of God so strong it seems that I'm engulfed within it! When I worship God, I always imagine Jesus in front of me. I LOVE to worship and pray this way. I have done it for years and it has always made a huge impact on my time with Him!
Here's a great confession. Instead of reading the verse as it is, you can personalize it! It is a great confession and a great way to meditate on this great Scripture! You can personalize it by saying it this way:
"I am patient, I am kind. I do not envy, I do not boast, I am not proud. 5 I do not dishonor others, I am not self-seeking, I am not easily angered, I keep no record of wrongs. 6 I do not delight in evil but I rejoic with the truth. 7 I always protect, I always trust, I always hope, I always persevere. 8 Love never fails." (NIV) When Jesus taught His disciples to pray what we call, the Lord's prayer, He didn't teach them so that they would just recite words over and over. No, each one has meaning and depth that we should not overlook. Jesus taught them how to release the power they needed in prayer.
What exactly does that mean? What does that look like?
In Matthew 6:10 we read, "Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Did you know that Europe:

"If you make the Most High your dwelling-even the Lord, who is my refuge-then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone." Psalm 91:9-12 Have you ever heard the misconception that satan has to go before God first to ask Him if he can do something horrendous to us, like he did to Job? As if everything that happens in our life is from God. Click HERE to read more! Archives
